Home Away From Home Agency
The Agency was Licensed in May 2009 by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Education.
We currently have 23 approved homes in Shelburne, Yarmouth and Digby counties. We continue to grow and are currently explanding to the Queens county area.
Our Agency team consists of an ECE trained Director, 2 ECE trained Consultants and an ECE trained Recruiter.

Our Barrington Location opened in July 2021 moving from the ERMES elementary school in Shag Harbour due to growing demand of child care.
Our Barrington Location serves families with children 18 months - 5 years of age. We have a toddler and a preschool room that can accommodate 34 children.

Our ERMES Program is an After School Program by Licensed by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. This program opened in September 2023 to serve the children of the ERMES elementary school.
This program is open full days during the summer, March break, inservice days and Christmas break.

Our FRA Program is an Nova Scotia Before and After School Program (BAP). This program has recently moved to the Department of Education and Early Chidlhood Development umbrella.
Our BAP is an outdoor based program, where the children spend the majority of their time outside engaged in active play.
